So, your shiny new MacBook is here? It’s not the fastest laptop out there, so yeah obviously you plan to use it as a netbook mostly, with dedicated apps, unlike that guy next cubicle’s HP Mini you’ve been quietly eyeing for a while now, which is a browser ninja, at best.
So here’s a list of the to die for apps for a light weight contender Mac.

McAfee is offering its two free tools, named McAfee Stinger and
McAfee Rookit Detective. McAfee Stinger is a known tool which is used
to clean infected computers. McAfee Stinger is a stand alone tool
available which is used to detect and remove specific viruses. Its not
a full fledge anti-virus protection tool but rather a tool which is
used by general users while they are dealing with some infected PC.
McAfee Stinger is based on the scan engine technology. Its really an
awesome tool for infected computers but it cannot help to remove
spyware from the computer.
McAfee Rookit Detective (Beta) is tool for people with related
knowledge, they can use the tool with the help of McAfee Technical
Support team member. And using of this tool with improper knowledge or
the support from McAfee team may result in some damage to the operating
system. McAfee Rookit Detective is still in its Beta testing phase. The
basic use of this tool is to determine weather the system is infected
or not and if its infected then this tool performs the task of removing
rookit from the system.
